Cookie & Storage Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This policy describes the cookies and browser storage that UAE Calculator Suite currently configures, plus third-party storage that could be used only when the relevant optional service is enabled and accepted.
1. Essential preference storage
The Site uses browser local storage, not a cookie, to remember your non-essential-service choice.
| Key | Technology | Value and purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | Local storage | accepted or declined; remembers your choice | Until changed or site storage is cleared |
Calculator results do not require acceptance of non-essential services.
2. Consent-gated analytics
PostHog remains off until you select Accept non-essential. When accepted, the Site configures PostHog with persistence: "memory" and disables session recording. It does not configure persistent ph_* cookies, a persistent distinct identifier, or session replay.
In-memory state is not designed to survive a reload or tab lifecycle. PostHog still receives consented events and normal connection metadata under its privacy policy. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from PostHog URL properties before transmission, and exact calculation-result values are not attached to the shared calculation event.
3. Conditional advertising storage
The AdSense loader is build-disabled by default. It can be included only after two separate operator flags confirm that advertising is intentionally enabled and that the required Google-certified regional CMP/TCF setup is ready. The Google script must also wait for visitor acceptance. This basic Site preference never changes Google advertising consent states to granted; those signals remain denied until the separately configured certified CMP supplies the applicable choice.
If those prerequisites are met, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, fraud prevention, measurement, frequency control, or personalization according to the visitor’s consent and Google configuration. Cookie names and lifetimes vary by product, region, and configuration, so this policy does not present an unverified fixed Google-cookie table. See Google’s cookie information.
4. Your choices
- Accept non-essential allows consent-gated analytics and, only if separately enabled and eligible, advertising.
- Decline non-essential leaves those services off.
- Privacy choices in the footer reopens the control at any time.
- Withdrawing an earlier acceptance sends a denial update and reloads the page to stop active non-essential services.
- Clearing site data removes the saved preference and causes the prompt to appear again.
Your browser can also block or delete cookies and local storage. Browser controls may affect third-party content or other optional functionality, but the calculator arithmetic does not depend on accepting analytics or advertising.
5. Other local storage
Individual tools may use browser storage for a user-facing convenience such as retaining a last-known public market rate. Such data remains on the device unless the tool clearly sends it elsewhere. Clearing site data removes it.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this page when storage behavior materially changes. For questions, contact [enable JS]. See the broader Privacy Policy for hosting, provider, and rights information.
